Information you send over the Internet is not privileged. Privileged information is a private communication between you and your attorney. Since the Internet is comprised of many web servers that are often administered by a variety of people, with e-mail needing to pass over those servers, there is a chance that your communication over the Internet may be intercepted and read by a third party. Private and confidential information should never be sent by way of email over the Internet.

Internet Communications Cannot Form An Attorney-Client Relationship

In order to form an attorney-client relationship not only must you want to hire the attorney, but the attorney must agree to represent you. When an attorney agrees to represent you, a special form detailing the terms of the relationship will be provided to you.
